North Capitol Main Street supports the Deck Over and Streetscape Project along with the preservation of the current underpass. This project aligns with our mission to “revitalize North Capitol Street as a vibrant commercial corridor” and to help develop the neighborhood into a “robust and connected community of thriving businesses and diverse offerings.” We are enthusiastic about the change this project will bring to the North Capitol corridor and the movement it can catalyze for new businesses, residents, and community opportunities in the area. This project will bring a certain “elegance” reminiscent of the intention of North Capitol street as a grand corridor.
